Easy Peanut Butter Cake Recipe


Ingredients
* 1/2 cup creamy style peanut butter
* 1/4 cup butter or margarine, softened
* 3/4 cup sugar
* 2 eggs
* 1-1/2 cups all-purpose flour
* 2 teaspoons baking powder
* 1/4 teaspoon salt
* 3/4 cup milk

Frosting:
* 1/3 cup chunky style peanut butter
* 3 tablespoons butter or margarine, softened
* 3 cups powdered sugar
* 1/4 cup milk
* 1-1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract

Directions
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
2. In a large bowl, cream together peanut butter, butter and sugar. Add eggs; mix well.
3. Combine flour, baking powder and salt and add alternately with milk to creamed mixture. Mix well.
4. Pour into a greased 9-inch square baking pan. Bake at 350 degrees F. for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted near the center comes out clean.
5. Cool on a wire rack.
Frosting:
1. Cream peanut butter and butter together. Add sugar, milk and vanilla; mix until smooth.
2. When cake is completely cool, spread frosting evenly over cake.
