Steak Marinara Recipe
You may use any type steak that you prefer in this recipe. Just make sure it is a quality cut, tender steak. A tough steak will still be a tough steak after cooking. Recommended cuts are New York, filet, porterhouse, t-bone or rib eye.
Ingredients* 4 boneless Steaks (your favorite)
* 1/4 cup olive oil
* 1 large green pepper sliced and seeds removed
* 1 large red pepper sliced and seeds removed
* 1 pound of mushrooms sliced
* 4 cups Marinara Sauce Recipe
* 1 cup of beef stock
* salt & pepper to taste
Directions
1. Cook steaks in broiler, until rare (125 degrees F. measured with a meat thermometer).
2. While steaks are cooking heat olive oil in a large sauce pan over medium heat.
3. Add peppers, and mushrooms and saute for 2-3 minutes.
4. Drain oil and place steaks in pan. Season with salt and pepper.
5. Add marinara sauce and beef stock and simmer for 5-6 minutes.
6. Remove steaks to serving plates.
7. Reduce sauce by cooking for 2 more minutes. Pour sauce over steaks. Serves 4.
