Scalloped Oysters Recipe
Ingredients:
* 2 to 3 dozen oysters
* 1/2 teaspoon salt
* 3 cups crumbled bread crumbs
* 3 tablespoons butter or margarine, melted
* 1/4 cup milk
* Cayenne pepper, to taste
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
2. Wash oysters and set aside
3. In a large mixing bowl, combine bread crumbs, milk, melted butter, salt and cayenne pepper. Mix well until the bread crumbs are completely coated with the seasoning.
4. Place 1/4 of the bread crumbs in the bottom of a greased baking dish.
5. Add 1/2 of the oysters on top of the bread crumbs.
6. Add another 1/4 of the bread crumbs, then the remaining 1/2 of the oysters.
7. Add the remaining 1/2 of the bread crumbs on top.
8. Bake in preheated oven for 30-40 minutes.
Serve hot.
